Tour of the GABE GOTTES mine

Accompanied by guides from the Archéomine association, visit the Gabe Gottes mine in the Rauenthal valley. Opened in the second half of the 16th century, this mine exploited silver and then arsenic veins until 1940, making it the last mine in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.

Beware, it’s 12°C in the mine. Please bring suitable clothing. Boots, helmets and oilskins are provided.

Free on-site parking (recommended): if you are travelling with your own vehicle, please estimate a 20-minute journey from the Mineral Zone.

Free shuttle bus from the Mineral Zone: the shuttle bus stop is in the PH parking lot (Pl. de Gaulle). Registration required when purchasing tickets online. Places on the shuttle are limited to a maximum of 8 people. If you have reserved the shuttle, meet us 30 minutes before the start of the tour at the above-mentioned stop.
